Auch in diesem Jahr, am 5. Juni 2021, wird das j\u00e4hrliche Fest komplett online auf <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ardbeg.com\/en-int\">Ardbeg.com<\/a> und Social Media stattfinden, mit einer eigenen Abf\u00fcllung: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ardbeg.com\/en-US\/whisky\/ardbeg-scorch-limited-edition\">Ardbeg Scorch<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Als wahrhaftiger Dram von fantastischen Proportionen, stand Ardbeg Scorch unter ziemlich feurigem Einfluss des Ardbeg-eigenen Drachens aus dem Warehouse No. 3 oder vielleicht doch des Whisky Creation Teams: Gereift in extrastark gekohlten Ex-Bourbon-F\u00e4ssern aus amerikanischer Weisseiche, lauern intensive Aromen von Russ, Rauch und Gegrilltem mit kr\u00e4ftigen Noten schwarzer Lakritze, gemischt mit Lutschpastillen \u2013 ein Dram von wahrlich fantastischen Ausmassen.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4294\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Ardbeg-Scorch-Black-Ardbeg-Day-Scorch-Bottle-and-Box.jpg\" alt=\"Ardbeg Scorch Black Ardbeg Day Scorch Bottle and Box\" width=\"1080\" height=\"1080\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ardbeg Day und die Drachengeschichten<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Seit vielen Monden erz\u00e4hlen die Leute von Islay Geschichten von Helden und Drachen. Doch bislang \u00fcbertraf keine die Geschichte des aromen-speienden Drachens von Ardbeg. So soll er im Warehouse No. 3 sitzen, an Fassdeckeln fackeln und Barrels brennen. Man sagt, nur Shortie, der Destillerie-Hund sei mutig genug, es mit diesem feurigen Temperament aufzunehmen. Anl\u00e4sslich der Feierlichkeiten freut sich Ardbegs Destillerie Manager Colin Gordon auf seinen ersten Ardbeg Day: \u201eEine komplett virtuelle Welt wartet darauf erkundet zu werden, mit Fantasie-Gasth\u00e4usern, Geschichten am Lagerfeuer, eine Hexenh\u00f6hle und nat\u00fcrlich einer Live-Verkostung der neuen limitierten Abf\u00fcllung.\u201c<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ardbeg Scorch \u2013 die feurige Limited Edition<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>F\u00fcr Ardbegs Director of Distilling und Whisky Creation, Dr. Bill Lumsden ist Ardbeg Scorch ein Tribut an den legend\u00e4ren Islay Drachen: \u201eEin F\u00fcllhorn an Aromen aus unseren schw\u00e4rzesten F\u00e4ssern, wir haben die feuerspeiende Abf\u00fcllung schlechthin erschaffen!\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Der Ardbeg Scorch General Release ist mit 46,0 Vol. % Alkohol abgef\u00fcllt, ungef\u00e4rbt und nicht k\u00fchl-gefiltert und wird ab dem 25. Mai 2021 bei Globus f\u00fcr den Preis von CHF 100 erh\u00e4ltlich sein.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Verkostungsnotiz Ardbeg Scorch<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Farbe: Hell geb\u00fcrstetes Gold<\/p>\n<p>An der Nase: Be\u00e4ngstigende, intensive Aromen von Russ und Rauch. Ankl\u00e4nge von Anis und duftendem Patchouli verflechten sich mit kr\u00e4ftigen Noten geh\u00e4rteten Stahls und Sattelseife. Mit einem Tropfen Wasser r\u00fccken kr\u00e4uterige Kopfnoten von Bruy\u00e8reholz, Salbei und Kiefern in den Vordergrund.<\/p>\n<p>Am Gaumen: Mit einem Schluck \u00f6ffnen sich eine F\u00fclle von Aromen. \u00d6lig sinnergreifend mit einer Wolke s\u00fcssem Rauchs und drachengekohlter Eiche. Gegrilltes verwebt sich mit Noten schwarzer Lakritze und medizinischen Lutschpastillen.<\/p>\n<p>Nachhall: Ein langes und heldenhaftes Finale, mit leichtem, teerigem Nachgeschmack, der sich weit und gl\u00fccklich bis zum Ende hinzieht.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ardbeg Committee<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Am 1. Januar 2000 wurde das Ardbeg Committee gegr\u00fcndet, damit sich die T\u00fcren der Destillerie niemals wieder schliessen. In \u00fcber 130 L\u00e4ndern sind \u00fcber 100.000 Mitglieder im Ardbeg Committee. In regelm\u00e4ssigen Abst\u00e4nden werden exklusive Committee-Abf\u00fcllungen ver\u00f6ffentlicht. Die Registrierung ist kostenfrei unter ardbeg.com m\u00f6glich.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Auszeichnungen:<\/strong><br \/>\nSeit dem Jahr 2008 gewann Ardbeg mehr als 50 Gold- und Doppelgoldmedaillen bei wichtigen Whisky-Wettbewerben. Abf\u00fcllungen von Ardbeg wurden in Jim Murray\u2018s Whisky Bible im Jahr 2008 und 2009 zu &#8222;World Whisky of the Year&#8220; gew\u00e4hlt oder bei den World Whiskys Awards zweimal als &#8222;World Best Single Malt&#8220; (2010, 2013) ausgezeichnet. Bei den Global Icons of Whisky Awards 2014 wurde Mickey Heads zum \u201eDistillery Manager of the Year\u201c gew\u00e4hlt. Im folgenden Jahr belegten Ardbeg Releases den ersten Platz im Whisky Advocate Magazin als bester Single-Malt-Scotch-Whisky unter 100 US-Dollar. Zuletzt triumphierten Ardbeg Ten Years Old in der Kategorie 12 Jahre und j\u00fcnger und Ardbeg Corryvreckan in der Kategorie ohne Altersangabe bei den World Whisky Awards 2019. Im gleichen Jahr gewann Dr. Bill Lumsden zum dritten Mal in vier Jahren die Auszeichnung \u201eMaster Distiller of the Year\u201c und die International Whisky Challenge k\u00fcrte Ardbeg zur \u201eDestillerie des Jahres\u201c. Im Jahr 2020 zeichnete die International Whisky Competition Ardbeg Corryvreckan als besten schottischen Single Malt, bester Single Malt Scotch (Ohne Altersangabe), bester Whisky in Fassst\u00e4rke (\u00fcber 57 Vol.% Alk.), bester getorfter Scotch und bester Islay Single Malt aus.
