Beimir is a charming little cocktail bar just at the corner of Speckbachergasse 47. Characterized by an authentic living room atmosphere and serving homemade lemonades, cocktails, spritz, bottled beers, and wines, Beimir offers more than just drinks. You can play chess, board games, and poker here. The location is divided into a small room with bar, small adjoining room and a salon with plush sofa.
Originally from Steyr, Matthias Habringer decided, after living in his neighborhood for a couple of years and desperately seeking a decent bar in the vicinity, to create one that resembles him. The furnishing is minimalistic, the lighting cozy, the music soft and, although small, the bar transpires passion for the craft.
The menu at the small restaurant is extensive and highlights local produce: snacks such as toast and antipasti, coffee from the Lower Austrian roaster Petrus, tea from Demmer, homemade lemonades served in jar glasses, smoothies and iced teas, Augustiner, Schladminger, and Freistädter draft beers, and a large cocktail selection. A highlight: the homemade Ginger Lemon Cordial that can be purchased in a bottle.
During the Corona lockdown, Beimir delivers cocktails to your home! You can choose different themes like “Green Bottle” (Tanqueray Gin, Organic Basil, Lemon, Organic Matcha from Japan, Sugar, Soda, EUR 23, serves two), Golden Bottle (Tanqueray Gin, Early Grey tea, honey, lemon, passion fruit, shaken, EUR 33, serves three), Tiki Bottle (three kinds rum from Jamaica, Venezuela and Barbados & Trinidad, lime, coconut, banana, shaken, EUR 30, serves two), Negroni Bottle (Tanqueray Gin, Montenegro, Antica Formula Vermouth, a drop of Absinth, stirred, EUR 39, serves three), Starwars Bottle (Smirnoff Small Batch Vodka, lemon, vanilla, Tonka bean, shaken, EUR 33, serves three), Pirates Bottle (Goslings Black Seal Bermuda Rum, homemade ginger beer, soda, EUR 22, serves two).
